Calvin Brown, World Renowned Composer, Guitarist and Performer.

Calvin showed interest in playing guitar at the age of 12 after receiving his first guitar from his father. While watching his father James and older brother Kenny Brown, who has played with the likes of, Jackie Wilson, Leon Hayward and many others, he enthusiastically started on his musical journey. At a very young age, Calvin studied under some of the world's most renowned guitar players, has attended many music settlements and also attended Cleveland Institute of Music, and played guitar for the Cleveland based band "The Soul Merchants" along side his life long friends Donnie Lovejoy, Donnie and Theodore Manuel and has played for many Cleveland based bands in the 60's as a teenager. Calvin has written songs, recorded, performed and/or toured with these great artists:

Roy Ayers, (Whom Calvin got his professional start & continues to play & tour with), Byron Miller, Ricky Lawson, Holland Dozier Holland, Michal Urbaniak, Urzula Dudziak, Norman Conners, Pharaoh Saunders, Sonny Stitt, Richard "Groove" Holmes, Melba Moore, The late Phyllis Hyman, Jean Carne, Marlena Shaw, The O'Jays, James Ingram, The late Kenny Kirkland, Marcus Miller, Lou Donaldson, Roy Gaines, Smokey Wilson, Jackie Wilson, Lowell Folsom, Bo Didley, & The late Z.Z. Hill, Sonny Fortune, the late Stanley Turrentine, Shirley Scott, Michael Henderson, N'dugu Leon Chancellor, The Main Ingredient Featuring Cuba Gooding.

Calvin's musical experience has reached across into every musical genre, Jazz & Jazz Fusion, R&B, Blues, Pop, Classical, Hip Hop, Gospel & Country,and he has proven to be well versed and well rounded in his ability to excel in every music arena that he ventures into. Calvin's musical style is so eclectic. He has even been compared to the likes of Jimi Hendricks, Ernie Isley ,Wes Montgomery and even Glenn Campbell Calvin has never laid his guitar down since he first picked it up at the ae of 12 years old. He has been blessed to be able to play his guitar all over the world giving him the opportunity to bask in the passion of his first love, "Music". Calvin is as active as ever before playing, touring and writing songs with many mega talents along with his wife singer/songwriter/performer extraordinaire Robbie Brown and their band "Eklecticsoul" featuring Robbie on lead vocals, a mega talent in her own right.

Calvin's venture into the Gospel world produced two Gospel Jazz CD's entitled "God is first" & "Fresh" with Pastor Bradford E. Comer of New Judah Christian Fellowship and New Judah Music. As the doors of opportunity fling open before Calvin, he enters in bringing with him excellence, experience and creativity that graces every project he sets outt to do.
